About the Cascadia category

Cascadia is a tile-laying and token-drafting game that celebrates the habitats and wildlife of the Pacific Northwest.

Players take turns expanding their terrain and populating it with wildlife. Starting with three hexagonal habitat tiles, you choose a new habitat tile paired with a wildlife token each turn. Place the tile adjacent to your existing ones and the wildlife token on a suitable habitat. Each tile can depict 1-3 types of wildlife, and you can place one token per tile. Four tile-token pairs are available at any time, but you can use a nature token to choose freely.

Your goal is to create contiguous habitats to score for the largest areas of each type at the game’s end, with bonuses for the largest groups. Simultaneously, you aim to place wildlife tokens to maximize points based on randomly selected scoring cards for each type of wildlife. For example, hawks prefer isolation, foxes thrive with diverse neighbors, and bears score in pairs.
